Anti-Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy

At Falyali, responsible business should always include respect for the people involved behind the products and services we provide.

We expect our operations and relevant business relationships to reflect basic principles of dignity, fair treatment and freedom from exploitation.

This Policy explains Falyali's approach to modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking and other serious forms of labour exploitation connected with our activities and business relationships.

1. The Standard We Follow

Falyali does not tolerate modern slavery, human trafficking or forced labour.

We will not knowingly support or benefit from business practices involving:

  • Slavery or servitude

  • Forced or compulsory labour

  • Human trafficking

  • Bonded or debt labour

  • Exploitative or unlawful child labour

  • Coercion or unlawful restriction of workers

  • Serious abuse or exploitation of workers

  • Comparable practices that deny people freedom or dignity

People involved in producing goods or providing services should be able to work freely and be treated with respect.

We expect relevant businesses working with Falyali to follow the same fundamental principles.

2. Who This Policy Covers

The principles in this Policy apply, where relevant, to people and organisations working with or on behalf of Falyali.

This may include:

  • Employees

  • Directors

  • Contractors

  • Product suppliers

  • Fulfilment partners

  • Logistics providers

  • Service providers

  • Other relevant business partners

Different relationships may involve different levels of responsibility and oversight, but serious exploitation is not acceptable within any part of our business relationships.

3. What Modern Slavery Means

Modern slavery can take different forms.

In general, it involves situations where a person is exploited and is unable to freely refuse, leave or change their circumstances because of coercion, threats, deception, abuse of power or another form of control.

It may include:

  • Slavery

  • Servitude

  • Forced labour

  • Human trafficking

  • Debt bondage

  • Similar forms of severe exploitation

Human trafficking may involve recruiting, moving, transferring, harbouring or receiving people for the purpose of exploitation.

Falyali does not consider these practices compatible with responsible business conduct.

4. Principles Behind Our Approach

Falyali aims to conduct business in a responsible and ethical manner.

As part of this approach, we seek to:

  • Avoid knowingly working with businesses involved in modern slavery or trafficking

  • Expect suppliers and partners to respect fundamental labour and human rights

  • Consider responsible conduct when establishing or reviewing important business relationships

  • Take credible allegations of exploitation seriously

  • Review concerns where reasonably possible

  • Take proportionate action where serious misconduct is identified

  • Continue developing our approach as our operations and supply relationships evolve

Our approach is based on taking reasonable and proportionate steps in the areas we can meaningfully assess or influence.

We do not make unrealistic guarantees regarding parts of independent supply chains that are outside our direct control.

5. Expectations for Suppliers and Partners

Falyali works with independent businesses that may include:

  • Product suppliers

  • Fulfilment providers

  • Shipping and logistics companies

  • Technology providers

  • Other operational partners

We expect relevant partners to conduct their activities lawfully and responsibly.

They should not knowingly use or support:

  • Forced labour

  • Human trafficking

  • Slavery

  • Serious worker exploitation

  • Other comparable abusive labour practices

Where appropriate, we may consider available information about a supplier or business partner before establishing or continuing a relationship.

If credible information raises concerns about serious labour-rights violations, we may request additional information and review the relationship.

Depending on the circumstances, this may lead to corrective action, restrictions on further activity or the end of the business relationship.

6. Risk Review and Due Diligence

Responsible sourcing requires continued attention rather than a single check at the beginning of a business relationship.

As Falyali develops, we aim to take reasonable steps to understand relevant risks within our operations and supply network.

Depending on the nature of the relationship, this may include:

  • Working with established suppliers and service providers

  • Reviewing reasonably available information about business partners

  • Communicating expectations concerning responsible conduct

  • Considering labour or human-rights concerns where a meaningful risk becomes apparent

  • Reviewing credible reports brought to our attention

  • Seeking clarification where concerns arise

  • Reconsidering relationships where serious problems cannot be resolved

The level of review may vary according to the supplier, service, location, nature of the relationship and information reasonably available to us.

7. Shared Responsibility

Preventing serious exploitation depends on credible concerns being recognised rather than ignored.

Falyali is responsible for maintaining the principles described in this Policy and reviewing significant concerns connected with our activities where reasonably possible.

People working for or with Falyali are expected to:

  • Act lawfully and ethically

  • Avoid conduct that contributes to worker exploitation

  • Take credible warning signs seriously

  • Raise legitimate concerns when they become aware of them

  • Cooperate with reasonable enquiries where an issue is being reviewed

No person working on behalf of Falyali should knowingly disregard credible evidence of modern slavery, forced labour or trafficking connected with their work.

8. Reporting a Concern

If you become aware of, or reasonably suspect, modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour or serious exploitation connected with Falyali or one of our relevant business relationships, please contact us.

Email: support@falyali.com
Phone: +44 7456 059780

Please provide as much relevant information as you reasonably can.

Reports made in good faith will be taken seriously and reviewed according to the circumstances.

Where reasonably possible, sensitive information will be handled carefully and with appropriate regard for confidentiality.

Anyone raising a genuine concern in good faith should be able to do so without retaliation from Falyali.

9. How We Respond to Reported Issues

Where a credible concern is raised, Falyali may take steps appropriate to the seriousness and circumstances of the matter.

These may include:

  • Reviewing the information available

  • Contacting the relevant supplier or partner

  • Requesting clarification

  • Seeking additional evidence where appropriate

  • Asking for corrective measures

  • Restricting or suspending a business relationship

  • Ending a relationship where serious concerns remain unresolved

  • Referring serious matters to an appropriate authority where necessary

The action taken will depend on factors such as the nature of the concern, the information available and the level of influence or control Falyali has over the relevant relationship.

10. Ongoing Review

Responsible-business practices can evolve as a company, its suppliers and its operations develop.

Falyali will continue reviewing its approach to modern-slavery and human-rights risks as our:

  • Supplier network develops

  • Fulfilment arrangements change

  • International activities evolve

  • Business relationships expand

  • Relevant requirements change

This Policy may be updated where necessary to reflect changes in our practices or operating environment.

The current version will remain available on Falyali.com.
